Therapy helps with our journey into a higher
personal |growth and transforms our inner power.

W

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)         National Certified Counselor (NCC)

I have become very interested in the brain’s functioning powers and how people can learn to re-wire neural networks, using strategies that can calm, relax, heighten a sense of personal control, diminish the power of old patterns, and strengthen healthy neural pathways. Research now shows that talking about what is causing tension, stress, or discomfort for you is good for your brain. It is good to find a therapist, a trusted friend or clergy worker to confide in and improve your life. I work with children of all ages, adult individuals, and couples and families who are having difficulties.

Difficulties I address include adjustment to divorce or other life transitions, coping with traumatic events, depression, anxiety, and all forms of abuse or domestic violence. I work with children who have ADHD, or the children who are simply unable to focus and are disorganized, lack respect for rules, or may have some temper problems.

I like to instill motivation for trauma victims to thrive toward positivity. The most gratifying aspect of counseling trauma victims is witnessing the transformation back to normal functionality. With 22 years of field experience, I have guided clients in reaching significant mental health improvement, including the relinquishment of psychological symptoms resulting from traumatic experiences. My successes are rooted in the successes of my clients, and I also have a passion for the delicate intricacies of the mental health care profession.

I enjoy going to Workshops, Conferences, and Conventions so that I can learn about the newest techniques that will help the clients. I loved one of the Conferences so much that I became an emergency responder for the National Trauma Disaster Teams.

I am certified in Level II EMDR and know many other therapies that help with life changes. I am trained to perform Custody Evaluations and Child Family Investigations for the Courts. I also offer reintegration therapy for parents who have been absent from their child’s life for a while but want to re-establish a relationship. I am a member of the MDIC, ACA, NCC, and the EMDR International Association. I am also a lifetime member of Cambridge Who’s Who.
